Minimalism at Gallows Hill (outside Cloughmills)

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting fellow photographer, Gilbert Lennox’s new home. My recent photos have all taken with a minimalist approach around Gallows hill.

I’d seen Gilbert share many photos of Gallows hill, it’s a simple hill with one of the most amazing crooked tree, which appears to be bowing before the heavens. So I was excited to find this hill and realised it was just on Gilberts doorstep. We often take for granted the things that are on on our doorsteps.

Despite the rain & fog I managed a couple photos, the first one is a photo of Gallows hill with a few of the trees at the top of it.

The second photo is further along the same road, it’s amazing how bad weather changes a landscape and simplifies it.
