As Don Williams said,“The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.”
My life took a twist over 20 years, July 1994 to be exact, when I was pulled from a car wreck only to wake up from a coma 10 days later and be given another chance to live.
Many things have happened since that fateful evening. Never did I imagine this journey. I met and married the most wonderful lady, my wife, Roz. I also have been blessed with two wonderful (but challenging!) sons.
There have also been many memories created over the preceding years. Lots of those memories have been captured; moments in far-flung places like South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Columbia. Many more moments at home with my family where there have been so many fleeting ‘firsts’. The first smile, the first tooth, the first step, the first party, the first time at the sea, the first time they played in snow, the first time they cycled without stabilisers, the first day at school…
There are so many memories to be captured in life…
As you may already be able to tell, I like the natural, plain and simple things in life. I love capturing those natural moments, whether that be taking photographs on your wedding day, working for a charity, out with the family or when exploring landscapes.
